duckRuby on Rails vs. PHP?

Posted in Advertizing, Ruby on Rails, PHP, CakePHP, Frameworks by Alyssa Tucker on the May 21st, 2007

RailsEnvy.com has released a series of Ruby on Rails vs. PHP ads that spoof the Mac vs. PC ads.

While I do find these ads entertaining, just like the Mac ads, they blow things out of proportion. Also, it’s rather silly to compare a framework to a language. It would make better sense to compare Ruby on Rails with a PHP framework such as CakePHP. Just like the Rails framework, it uses a model view controller environment. Personally, I think CakePHP is easier to depoly on web servers too. Just drop the files in and watch it work.
